Overview

Blocked sites open a pause page. Leaving is instant; opening one costs a short wait and some daily allowance.

Nope puts a pause between you and the sites that eat your time. Add the sites you want to stay away from. When you open one, Nope shows a pause page instead. Leaving takes one tap: close the tab and get on with your day. If you really need the site, wait out a short countdown and open it for a few minutes. Those minutes come out of a daily allowance, so "just five minutes" can't turn into the whole afternoon. Changing your mind works in one direction only: • Tightening applies at once: add a site, shrink the allowance, lengthen the wait. • Loosening waits out a cooldown (24 hours by default). Removing a site or raising the allowance is queued, so a weak moment can't undo a decision you made with a clear head. What you get: • A pause page with a countdown before any bypass • Bypasses that end on their own, sending open tabs back to the pause page • An optional countdown in the corner of the site while a bypass runs, with End now to stop early • Quick picks and sites you've seen before, one tap away when you block • Streaks: days since you last opened each blocked site, with tiers at 30, 60, 120, and 240 days • A daily allowance, with the reset time shown • A cooldown on every loosening change, with queued changes listed and easy to cancel • A short to-do list on the pause page, for what you meant to do instead • Blocks that cover www., mobile, and every other subdomain Private by design: everything stays on your device. No account, no tracking, no analytics, no network requests. Like any extension, Nope can be turned off in Chrome's extension settings. It is a speed bump for habits, not a parental control.
