Nogch

Connect YouTube Music playback to Nogch on this Mac.

Nogch connects YouTube Music in Chrome to Nogch’s notch controls on your Mac. See the current track, artist, album artwork, and current-song progress. Use previous, play/pause, and next without switching windows. Enable YouTube Music in Nogch Settings, enter the six-digit pairing code in this extension, and keep YouTube Music open in Chrome or its Chrome-installed app. Chrome 116 or later and a compatible Nogch macOS app are required. Playback metadata, timing, video ID, and an allow-listed artwork URL are sent only to Nogch on the same Mac through an authenticated loopback connection. Pairing credentials stay in Chrome and the macOS Keychain. The native app fetches artwork over HTTPS without browser cookies. There are no analytics, ads, remote backend, account credentials, cookie or history access, or listening-history storage. Version 0.2.0 adds album artwork and accurate current-song timing, including gapless queues. It negotiates protocol 2 for artwork and falls back to protocol 1 with older native builds without clearing pairing. This extension does not provide music playback or a YouTube subscription. If several YouTube Music tabs are open, Nogch controls the displayed session. Focus and Quick Capture keep their normal priority.
