Noeis

Save what you read, mark the passages that matter, and see where they meet the views you hold.

Noeis is a place to keep what you read and think with it. This extension is how reading on the web gets there. Press the Noeis button on an article to save it to your Library. Noeis files it in the folder where you usually put that site's pieces. Then select a passage and press Mark. The mark stays on the page, comes back when you return, and goes to your Library with the article. Each passage you mark gets a card beside it in the margin: • If the passage bears on a view you hold in Noeis, the card names that view. You can file the passage for it or against it. • If that view is due, it asks whether the view held up. • If you marked something like it before, it shows you where and when. • You can add the passage to a notebook entry, ask the Partner about it, or hold a new view from it in your own words. When a piece you just saved argues against something you hold, Noeis tells you on the page and shows you where.
