Nocturne — Time-Aware Color Temperature
1 rating
)Overview
Warms your screen's colors and dims brightness through the day, with a live clock and greeting. Auto or manual.
Nocturne eases the harsh white glare of the web as the day winds down. Most screens stay locked at the same cold, bright white from 9am to midnight — great at noon, rough on your eyes at night. Nocturne quietly shifts your browser's color temperature and brightness to match the time of day, the same idea behind night-mode tools like f.lux, built right into your browser. How it works Auto mode follows a natural daily curve — cool and bright at midday, gradually warming and dimming into the evening, and settling into a deep amber tone at night. No configuration needed. Manual mode puts you in control, with sliders for warmth (color temperature) and brightness, plus one-tap presets for Morning, Day, Evening, and Night. Effect strength lets you dial the whole thing from barely-there to fully immersive. Applies to every page you browse — not just one tab — using a screen-wide color filter that works reliably across virtually any website. A calmer way to check the time Open the popup for a live clock, a greeting that matches the hour ("Good morning," "Working late?"), and a small sun/moon that visibly travels across a sky gradient synced to the real time of day.
