NoaLingua helps you learn a language from captioned videos and text you already read. On video, it can show the original subtitle and a translation together. You can pause after a sentence, replay it, move between subtitle lines, search the transcript, and open word meanings with grammar information and examples. Speaking practice shows which words Chrome recognized so you can compare them with the sentence on screen. On web pages and in documents, NoaLingua can translate selected text and open supported PDF, text, and subtitle files in a bilingual reader. Useful words, phrases, and sentences can be saved for later. Saved material becomes personalized review exercises. Vocabulary can be scheduled with spaced repetition, exported to Anki or CSV, or included in a local profile backup. Learning progress and settings are stored in the browser. Optional online features are identified before use. Cloud translation sends only the text being translated to the selected translation provider. Online speaking practice sends the audio for that attempt to Chrome's speech service. Restoring Premium sends the email address entered by the user to NoaLingua's license service. Payments are completed on Paddle's hosted checkout; the extension does not receive card details. Where supported, downloaded translation, dictionary, grammar, example-sentence, and punctuation resources allow many features to remain available offline. NoaLingua's single purpose is language learning from video and written material.
