Overview
Exact status code and full redirect chain for any page — meta refresh, JavaScript redirects and soft 404s included.
See what your browser actually did. Every other redirect checker watches the network layer and stops there. no404 Trace watches the network layer AND the page itself, so the hops that HTTP-only tools never report — meta refresh and JavaScript redirects — show up in the same chain, labelled META and JS. WHAT YOU GET • Full redirect chain — every hop with its status code, timing, remote IP, cache state and complete response headers. • Client-side hops — <meta http-equiv="refresh"> and location.assign / replace / href redirects, stitched into the HTTP chain instead of disappearing. • Soft-404 detection — a 200 OK page that actually says "not found" is scored across 8 weighted signals: title, h1, URL path, error-page markup, noindex, thin content, body copy and a canonical pointing at the homepage. Google treats these as errors and drops them from the index; now you can see them. • Chain health, scored out of 100 — 20 rules covering redirect loops, long chains, 302 where a 301 belongs, HTTPS downgrades, insecure final URLs, dropped query strings, cross-domain handoffs, noindex and slow responses. • In-page link scanner — checks every link on the page, six at a time, HEAD with a GET fallback, and badges the broken ones directly in the page. • Re-check without cache — re-run the request live, bypassing the browser cache. • Export in one click — Markdown table, CSV, or full JSON including headers. • History — your last 50 traces, stored locally. • Toolbar badge — the status code right on the icon, colour-coded, with S404 for a soft 404. SEVEN LANGUAGES, SWITCHED IN THE POPUP English, Türkçe, Deutsch, Español, Français, Português (BR), Русский. The UI language is independent of your browser language — pick Turkish on an English Chrome and it stays Turkish. BUILT FOR PEOPLE WHO MIGRATE SITES Launch day, a domain move, a CMS migration, a client audit: the questions are always the same. Is this a 301 or a 302? How many hops? Did the query string survive? Is the destination actually a real page or a soft 404? This answers all of them in one popup, on the page you are already looking at. PRIVACY Everything runs in your browser. No server, no account, no analytics, no remote code, nothing uploaded. The only network requests the extension makes are the ones you ask for — the cache-bypassing re-check and the link scan — and they go straight to the site you are looking at. History lives in chrome.storage.local and the options page can erase it. Requires Chrome 111 or newer. ──────────────────────────────────────────── ⚡ GET A FREE NO404 ACCOUNT no404 Trace finds your broken links. no404 fixes them.
