Shorts disappear for good: • from the homepage and your subscriptions • from the left sidebar (the "Shorts" entry) • from search results • from the "Shorts" tab on channel pages And if you, or a link, still end up on a Shorts page, you get redirected automatically to the regular YouTube player. As if Shorts had never existed. ⏱ MODE 2: LOOP TIMER (the smart way) For everyone who doesn't want to ban Shorts entirely, but doesn't want to get lost in them either. A single Short is perfectly fine, the timer only kicks in once you've been stuck for too long in one go: • LIVE COUNTDOWN: A small badge in the top right shows you at any moment how much time you have left in this round. • GENTLE ENDING: When time is up, nothing is cut off mid-video, the Short that's currently playing is allowed to finish. • OUT OF THE LOOP: After that, you're taken back to the homepage automatically. • EVERY ROUND STARTS FRESH: As soon as you leave Shorts and browse normally again, the timer resets to zero.
