No Duplicate Tabs

Prevents duplicate tabs across all Chrome windows by redirecting you to the already-open tab, with per-URL exceptions.

Most other similar apps seem to cause issues or plainly not work. No Duplicate Tabs is lightweight and it stops your browser from turning into a mess of identical tabs. When you open a page that’s already open in another tab or window, the extension closes the new duplicate and jumps you straight to the original – even if it’s in another window or a tab group. It has special handling for Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and Drive: different “view” URLs of the same document are treated as one item, so you don’t end up with ten copies of the same file. You can also explicitly allow duplicates for specific pages/documents (e.g. GenAI tabs) from the extension popup if you do want multiple copies in some cases.
