Overview
Prevents duplicate tabs within the same window. Redirect or Fresh mode, whitelist support, and hotkeys.
Tired of accidentally opening the same page five times? No Dupe Tabs quietly watches your tabs and kills duplicates the moment they appear. Lightweight by design. No background syncing, no account, no permissions beyond what's needed to watch your tabs. No popups, no interruptions, just a cleaner browser. Two modes, your choice: ↩ Redirect mode: Opened a tab you already have? You'll be sent straight back to the original and the new one disappears. ✦ Fresh mode: Prefer a clean slate? The old one gets erased and you can seamlessly load a fresh, new page. Duplicate detection is window-scoped, so the same page open in two separate windows is perfectly fine. Only tabs within the same window are checked and cleaned. Sometimes, there are pages you actually want open twice: a split-view doc, a comparison page, or a live dashboard. Just add any URL to the whitelist and No Dupe Tabs will leave it alone. Toggle whitelist status for your current page directly from our interface or with a configurable keyboard shortcut. A small notification slides in from the top of the page whenever a shortcut fires, so you always know what changed. Two shortcuts (both remappable via Chrome's extension settings): • Toggle the whitelist for your current page • Pause and resume the extension globally
