No AI Proton Mail hides Proton Scribe — the AI writing assistant — so your composer stays clean. Proton added "Scribe", an AI writing assistant, to the Mail composer: a toolbar button plus a row of AI actions (Write for me, Proofread, Expand, Shorten). This extension hides all of it, leaving the normal composer and your private inbox exactly as they were. WHAT IT HIDES • The Scribe writing-assistant button in the composer toolbar • The Scribe action bar (Write for me, Proofread, Expand, Shorten) WHAT IT LEAVES ALONE • Your inbox, folders, labels and search • The composer, formatting tools, encryption and Send — everything non-AI ONE-CLICK ON/OFF Click the toolbar icon to toggle hiding on or off instantly — no reload needed. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No accounts, no sign-in • No tracking, no analytics, no ads • Makes zero network requests — nothing ever leaves your browser • The only permission is "storage", used solely to remember your on/off choice Free.
