Discipline - Conscious Friction
Overview
Stops mindless scrolling by adding conscious friction.
Break the loop. Take back your focus. How many times today have you opened Instagram, YouTube, or Twitter without even thinking about it? Discipline doesn't block websites ā it makes you earn access to them. How it works: When you visit a distracting site, Discipline intercepts the page and asks one simple question: "Is this essential?" If you say yes, you'll need to prove it ā by typing a mindfulness phrase or waiting through a conscious pause. Features: š§ Conscious Friction ā Type an intention phrase before accessing distracting sites. No willpower required ā just a moment of awareness. ā³ Depletion Mode ā The more you try to unlock, the longer the wait. First visit? 30 seconds. Keep coming back? It escalates. Your impulse won't survive the boredom. š Usage Tracking ā See exactly how many times you've reached for each site today and over the past 7 days. Awareness is the first step to change. āļø Fully Customizable ā Add or remove sites from your blocklist, choose your friction level, and set how long sites stay unlocked (1ā60 minutes). š Private by Design ā All data stays local in your browser. No accounts, no servers, no tracking. Your habits are nobody's business. Default blocked sites: Instagram, YouTube, Twitter/X Add any site you want ā Reddit, TikTok, Facebook, or anything else pulling your attention. Discipline isn't about restriction. It's about intention. Stay focused. You are in control.
