Overview

A fast, private speed dial for your new tab. Every feature stays free. No account, no tracking.

Dialshelf turns your new tab into a shelf of the sites you actually use. Big, fast, and yours: no account needed, no tracking, and nothing you use today will ever be moved behind a paywall. WHAT YOU GET • Place tiles anywhere. Drag a tile to any spot on the page and it snaps to a grid, like a phone home screen, separately for every group. Or let Dialshelf keep them tidy for you. • Arrange mode that feels physical. Press F2, hold the mouse still on a tile, or click Arrange: tiles wobble, show their remove and edit buttons and every resize handle. Tiles glide to their new places, land with a small bounce and nudge their neighbours. With "reduce motion" on, nothing moves. • Resize everything, your way. Drag a tile's right edge, bottom edge or corner (Shift keeps its shape), or pick a size from a picker, up to six cells wide. Tick several tiles and resize them together. Give any group its own tile size, shape, columns and spacing. One button fits every tile on screen with no scrolling. Zoom with Ctrl+scroll or the + and − keys, and set the text size and page width. Pictures adapt to every shape. • Real logos, automatically. Turn on "Real logos and cards" and every tile shows its site's own logo as a crisp app icon on a matching color, or the site's social card, or a screenshot, your choice. Prefer your own? Upload a picture or paste an image link. Sites with no picture get a clean monogram, never a blank tile. • As many groups as you like. Show them as tabs, as a resizable sidebar with a filter, or all at once as collapsible sections. Give groups colors. Type a group's name in the search box to jump to it. • Drag and drop everywhere. Rearrange tiles, move them between groups by dropping on a group, reorder groups, and drop a link or a picture from any page straight onto your shelf. • Add any page in one keystroke. The toolbar button (or Alt+Shift+Q) opens a quick picker with your most recent groups first. It spots duplicates, can save every open tab as a new group, and has undo. • One search box for everything. Press Ctrl/⌘+K or just start typing: search your dials, groups, bookmarks and recently closed tabs, or the web. Shortcuts like !yt or !w send a search straight to YouTube or Wikipedia. • Sync between computers, $10 a year, through your browser account or Google. In Chrome and Edge, your dials, groups and look follow you to your other computers through the browser's own sync, like bookmarks, with no sign-in. The top bar always shows whether you're synced and on how many devices. Turn it off with one tap. • Fast from the first paint. Your theme and background load before the page does, so there is no white flash. • Make it yours. Seven themes including light and dark, an accent color, gradient or photo backgrounds, tile size, shape, corner and spacing controls. All free. • Keyboard friendly. Press ? for every shortcut on one screen: 1–9 open dials, Shift+G shows all groups, [ and ] step through groups, F2 arranges, Space selects, Alt+arrows move and resize. • Bring everything you already have. Import from your browser's bookmarks, from a bookmarks file, or from another speed dial's export. After an import Dialshelf offers, in plain words and with one tap, to fetch each site's real logo; say no and nothing changes. Export everything to JSON or standard bookmarks HTML at any time. • Sign in with Google to sync across every browser, Brave included, pictures and all, through a private folder in your own Google Drive. No Dialshelf account, no Dialshelf servers. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Dialshelf has no analytics and sends nothing to us. Your dials live in your browser. Bookmark, closed-tab, logo and screenshot features are optional and ask for permission only when you turn them on. FREE, EXCEPT SYNC Everything that works on your computer is free and stays free: themes, backgrounds, pictures, arrange and free placement, import and export. The one paid part is sync between computers, $10 a year, sold through shop.xt3.us. We will never move a free feature behind a paywall. Dialshelf is made by XT3 (https://xt3.us).
