Your browser has an excellent built-in translator that translates any webpage instantly and for free. But it doesn't work on books and documents: 1. PDFs are rendered on a canvas, making the text invisible to the browser's translator. 2. EPUBs cannot be opened in the browser at all; they just trigger a download. This extension quietly solves both problems - and opens seven more document formats too! How it works: When you open a supported document, this extension converts its text into a clean, reflowed HTML webpage. Since it is now a normal webpage, you can simply right-click and select "Translate to [Your Language]"! Limitations: scanned or image-only PDFs have no text to translate (the extension detects this and offers the original); files served without a ".pdf"/".epub" address aren't auto-detected; EPUBs are shown with the viewer's own clean reading style rather than the book's original design; DRM-protected EPUBs can't be read.
