Tab Editor

Rename tab titles and set custom favicons by URL rules. Element Picker, regex, multi-rule support for fast, organized browsing.

Too many tabs that all look the same? Tab Editor gives each site the tab title and icon you want, and can do repetitive clicking and typing for you. RENAME ANY TAB • Set a fixed title, like "Prod DB" or "Client – Acme" • Or build the title from text on the page: point at an element and click it, no code needed • Combine several parts of the page into one title, like the subject and the sender CHANGE THE TAB ICON • Upload an image, paste an image link, or choose a built-in shape and color • Tell apart production from staging, or one account from another, at a glance RULES BY URL • Match pages by "contains", "starts with", "ends with", "equals" or a regular expression • Several patterns per rule, and drag rules to set which one comes first • Test any address in the options page to see which rules apply AUTOMATE REPEATED ACTIONS • Click Record, use the page as usual, and every click, typed text and key press becomes a step • Run it every time the page loads, once per tab, or only when you press Run • Waits for buttons and pop-ups that show up later, and dismisses them again each time they come back • A small Run button in the corner of the page starts an automation with one click • Add steps later without recording again: record a few more, point at something to click, or add a key press or a wait • Edit, reorder or delete steps whenever you like YOU STAY IN CONTROL • Automation runs on its own only on sites you allow • Turn it off for any page with "Not on this page", or keep a list of addresses it never runs on • Stop a run with Esc or Alt+Shift+X; pause all automation with Alt+Shift+P • Passwords are never recorded PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Your rules and steps stay in your browser • No accounts, no tracking, no analytics. Tab Editor sends nothing to any server • Export and import your rules as a JSON file for backup or to move them to another computer
