Overview

Queue text chunks to a ChatGPT conversation, validate each JSON reply, retry failures, and export results. Unofficial.

Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to OpenAI. "ChatGPT" is a trademark of OpenAI; this is an independent tool that works with the ChatGPT website in your own browser. StoryRoom Queue sends long text through a ChatGPT conversation in pieces, one at a time, and checks what comes back before moving on. You give it a configuration file describing your chunks and the prompt for each. It types each prompt into a ChatGPT tab you chose, waits for the answer to finish, checks the answer against the chunk, and only then continues to the next one. A rejected answer is retried with the reason attached. WHAT IT DOES • Runs a queue of projects, each split into numbered chunks, in order. • Waits for each response to finish generating before reading it. • Reads the result whether ChatGPT replies inline, in a code block, or as a generated .json file — a file is retrieved in full, so a long result is never truncated. • Checks each result: matching project and chunk identifiers, non-empty corrected text, well-formed change entries, and that replaying the change log reproduces the corrected text exactly. • Retries a rejected chunk with the validation errors appended, up to a limit you set. • Keeps accepted results in local extension storage, previewable in the popup, with copy and export buttons. • Runs several projects at once, one per ChatGPT tab, or queues them to take over a tab as it frees up. • Logs every submission, acceptance, rejection and retry with its reason. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO • It does not judge whether a correction is linguistically good. The checks are deterministic and structural: a consistent but wrong edit can pass, and a good edit with imprecise context can be rejected. Review the final text if accuracy matters. • It does not send your data anywhere except to the ChatGPT conversation you selected, as messages you asked it to send. There is no server, no account and no analytics. • It does not write to your disk unless you ask it to, with "Also save each result file to disk" or "Export results". REQUIREMENTS A Chrome browser signed in to chatgpt.com. The extension drives the ChatGPT web interface, so it depends on that interface: if the site changes its layout, parts may need updating. Keep the chosen tab open while a queue runs, and avoid typing in that conversation yourself while it does. Your queue and results stay on your computer until you clear them or remove the extension.
