Session Run saves, searches, and manages your browser sessions — a live tab manager and a searchable archive in one. Everything stays on your device. No accounts, no servers, no tracking. THE PROBLEM Tabs are how you hold context — articles to read, tools in use, research threads. Over weeks they pile up: several windows, hundreds of tabs, duplicates everywhere, and no way to find anything or start fresh without losing it all. WHAT SESSION RUN DOES • One-click save — capture every tab across every window instantly, with title, URL, and favicon. Internal browser pages are excluded automatically. • Live tab manager — a real-time view of all your open tabs. Switch to a tab, close one, close every tab from a domain, close duplicates (keeping one of each), or group tabs into named, color-coded tab groups by domain. • Searchable archive — past sessions as clean, expandable cards showing date, tab count, and window count. Search by title or URL across everything. • Window filtering — focus on one window's tabs at a time. • Domain grouping — group tabs by domain, sorted by count. • Duplicate detection — see how many copies of a tab exist and bulk-close them. • Markdown export & import — sessions auto-export as readable .md files to a folder you choose. They're human-readable, work with version control, and import back if browser storage is ever lost. • JSON export — full backup of all sessions in one file. • Dark mode — with system-preference detection. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Session Run collects nothing. No network access, no analytics, no accounts, no external communication. All data lives in your browser's local storage and in files you choose to export. Minimal permissions: no host permissions, no content scripts, no access to the content of the pages you visit — only the tab title, URL, and favicon the browser already provides.
