"Today — Task List" is a minimalist productivity extension designed for local-only task management. It is a single-list tool intended to live in the browser toolbar, requiring no account creation or external configuration. How to Test: Add Task: Click the extension icon in the toolbar. Type a task in the input field and press "Enter" or click the "+" button. Complete Task: Click the task text or the checkbox to toggle the "done" state. Delete Task: Hover over an existing task and click the "×" icon that appears on the right. Bulk Clear: Click "Clear done" in the footer to remove all completed items at once. Persistence Check: Add a task and restart the browser. The task will remain visible, verifying the storage implementation. Technical Specifications & Permissions: Permissions: The extension requests only the storage permission. Data Storage: All data is stored locally on the user's machine using the chrome.storage.local API. Zero Network Activity: The extension is strictly "Offline-First." It makes no external API calls, carries no analytics/tracking scripts, and does not sync with any cloud services. Manifest Version: Built using Manifest V3. Privacy & Security: Since there is no backend server or user authentication, there is no risk of data breaches or unauthorized access.
