New Tab page no longer working as expected.

Since the most recent Chrome update, the page no longer has background colour, links or the invaluable notes on the 'sticky note'. Can it be recovered?

Hi! Since the latest Chrome update, the New Tab page has lost its bookmarks, notes and background colours. Any way to get them back? Particularly the notes from the sticky?

HTTPS on custom sites

I'm probably being dense but is there a way to set a custom URL to use HTTPS rather than HTTP?
