Niwa — Tab Workspaces, Pins & Bookmarks

Tend your tabs like a garden. Calm workspaces, pinned essentials, folders, and a trail of where you've been.

Niwa (庭, "garden") is a browser extension that turns scattered tabs into a calm place to work. Unlike tools that just line tabs up, Niwa gives every tab a place to belong. Sort tabs into workspaces, keep the path you followed in a tree, and stay one step away from getting back to anything. 🌿 Workspaces Group tabs by purpose, such as work, research, or personal, and switch between them. Move instantly with a shortcut, and never get buried under tabs from other workspaces. 📌 Pinned tabs (Essentials) Pin the documents, dashboards, and inboxes you use all the time. They won't get buried under newly opened tabs. If a pinned tab wanders away from its URL, a reset badge brings it back in one click, and right-clicking a tile lets you change its name, URL, and icon (Material Design icons or emoji). 🌳 Tab tree See at a glance where you came from and how you got here. Niwa tracks parent-child relationships, so research and long work sessions stay organized and easy to follow instead of turning into a mess of tabs. 🕘 Organized history Recently visited tabs are shown in groups, so you can jump straight back to "that page I was just looking at". 🔖 Built-in bookmarks Save pages to folders right from the sidebar. No separate bookmark manager needed. ⚡ Smooth controls Toggle the sidebar instantly (Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+Y) Workspace switching shortcuts (Mac: Control+W / Control+Shift+W; Windows/Linux: Ctrl+J / Ctrl+K) Drag tabs between workspaces Close all tabs in a workspace at once 🔒 Privacy first Niwa works entirely inside your browser. No account required, no Niwa server, no analytics or external transmission of any kind. Data is stored in Chrome storage. If Chrome Sync is on, your workspaces and pins sync across your devices through your own Google account. The interface follows your browser language (Japanese or English). A place to grow your scattered tabs.
