Nimply Sidekick is the browser companion for Nimply, the social media platform where you plan, draft, approve and schedule your posts. When you are reading something worth keeping — a post, an image, an article — click the Nimply button. Sidekick copies what is on your screen into your own Nimply workspace, and can draft new text about it in your brand voice. Then you go back to reading. WHAT YOU CAN DO Keep a post Right-click a post, or click the Nimply icon, and save it to an Ideas board in your workspace. The text, the link, the images and the author's name come with it, so the idea still makes sense next month. Write a post from what you are reading Turn an article or a post into a first draft for your own channels, written in your brand voice, using the same AI drafting you already have inside Nimply. The draft opens in the Nimply composer, where you edit, approve and schedule it the way you always do. Save an image to your media library Right-click an image and it lands in your Nimply media library, ready for a post. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO This matters, so it is written plainly. - It never posts, comments, likes, follows, connects or messages on any website. - It never changes how a website looks. Its whole interface lives in the browser side panel, next to the page, not on top of it. - It never reads a page in the background. It reads only when you click, only the page you are looking at, and only that once. - It never touches your cookies or your logged-in session on any website. - It never tracks your browsing. HOW IT WORKS Sidekick asks for six low-risk permissions and can only reach two web addresses: api.nimply.io and app.nimply.io — your own Nimply account. It cannot make requests to any other site. Reading a page happens through Chrome's "activeTab" permission, which the browser grants for one tab, only when you click the extension's button, a right-click menu item, or its keyboard shortcut, and which lapses as soon as you navigate away. That is why there is a click before every capture: the design and the permission model agree with each other. WHAT YOU NEED A Nimply account (nimply.io). Sign in once with your Nimply login and pick a workspace. Saving posts, images and articles is available on every Nimply plan, including the free trial. AI drafting uses your workspace's AI credits, and the cost of each run is shown before you run it. PRIVACY Sidekick sends what you choose to save to your own Nimply workspace, and nothing else. It has no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party code of any kind. Your sign-in token is stored encrypted on your device.
