Nilon assigns a title, detects the content type (meal plan, travel itinerary, code snippet, research summary, cover letter, idea, and more), and generates 2–5 topic tags. Here is exactly what each one is used for and nothing more: ACTIVETAB Reads the content of the current tab only when you click the extension icon to trigger a save. The extension has no access to your tabs at any other time. SCRIPTING Injects the clip button and conversation reader on supported AI platforms. Scripts only run on the four listed domains — chatgpt.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com, and perplexity.ai. STORAGE Caches configuration data locally to reduce network requests. Never used to store your saves, session tokens, or any personal information. COOKIES Reads your nilon.io session cookie so the extension can authenticate saves without requiring a separate login. Only the first-party nilon.io cookie is accessed — no third-party cookies from AI platforms are ever read. What Nilon does NOT do: - Read any page content on sites other than the four AI platforms listed above - Monitor your browsing history or track where you navigate - Store your AI conversations locally on your device - Copy or cache your login credentials or session tokens - Send any data to third parties other than your own Nilon vault Your vault content is protected by row-level security at the database level — it is architecturally impossible for another user to access your saves.
