'Universal dark mode' is not an easy problem to solve, full stop. While we'll always be iterating and improving the product, we've reduced the 'jank' substantially. If you're not sure what we mean by 'jank', install one of the competing dark mode extensions. You'll find everything from weird effects that happen on dark web pages, to way to many settings, to full on Javascript conflicts while you're browsing - sometimes breaking things. Our mission is to provide a dark mode that's clean, light, consistent, and constantly getting better. There's a built-in feedback form on the settings page and the popup doesn't get simpler.
