Light or dark. Make the web yours. Nightfall now includes Light, Dark and System appearance. Give bright websites a dark appearance, bring a light appearance to dark pages, or let Nightfall follow your system settings. Choose Light or Dark for your default appearance, follow your system, or save a different choice for each website. You can also keep a website's original appearance, pause Nightfall, and adjust brightness and contrast. Theme changes apply while pages are open. Nightfall adjusts page styles while aiming to preserve layouts, photos and videos. Pages detected as already matching your chosen appearance keep their original styling. Results vary by website. Gradients, image-based text and embedded content may need further adjustments. Chrome's internal pages and the Chrome Web Store cannot be themed. No Nightfall account, subscription, advertising or analytics. Settings stay on your device. Website styles and relevant images may be requested for local appearance analysis; page contents and settings are not sent to a Nightfall service.
