Overview
Right-click an image to convert PNG to PDF in one step, or merge images to PDF in the side panel. JPG, WebP and SVG too. No uploads.
🖼️ Save image as PDF from the right-click menu Right-click a picture on a web page, choose "Save image as PDF", and the PDF is in your downloads. No website to open, nothing to upload: this PNG to PDF converter builds the file on your own computer. 🚀 Convert PNG to PDF in one right click 1️⃣ Find the picture you need on any web page 2️⃣ Right-click it and pick "Save image as PDF" 3️⃣ Open the PDF from your downloads 🔐 Your images never leave your device Many image to PDF converter websites upload your picture to their server. This extension never uploads it anywhere: it reads the image in your browser, writes the PDF right there with its own code, and hands it to Chrome's download. Your images and their file names stay on your computer, and there is no account to create. 🗂️ Many images, one PDF: the side panel Click the extension's icon in the toolbar (pin it from the puzzle-piece menu) to open the side panel. It collects images and saves them as one multi-page PDF: ➤ drop image files, paste a copied image, or pick files with Choose images ➤ drag a picture from a web page into the panel ➤ reorder the pages, remove one or clear them all, with Undo for a few seconds ➤ press Save PDF: every image becomes a page, in the order shown The collection waits while you browse, even through a Chrome restart. It holds up to 50 images; one PDF holds up to 256 million pixels across its pages, about twenty 12-megapixel photos. 🖱️ Three things a right-click can do ▸ Download: each image becomes its own PDF at once (the default) ▸ Collect & show: the image joins the collection and the panel opens ▸ Collect: the image joins without the panel opening, and the icon shows the count The collect modes merge images to PDF as you browse: a receipt on one site, a ticket on another, both in one PDF. 📄 Page size: Image size, A4 or Letter - Image size: the page matches the picture, no margins - A4 or Letter: the image fits inside half-inch margins, portrait or landscape to suit it It applies to right-clicks and the panel alike. ✅ What goes into the PDF • animated GIFs use only their first frame • a plain color JPG goes in untouched; every other image, including a JPG with a color profile, a rotation to apply, or gray or CMYK colors, is stored losslessly from the pixels Chrome decoded • photos and other pixel images are never resampled • an SVG is drawn at twice its size, up to 4,096 pixels on the long side; fonts and images it links to are not loaded • transparency is kept (most PDF viewers show it as white) • images up to 64 million pixels and 256 MB each 🎯 Who saves images as PDFs? ▸ students: a chart for an assignment ▸ office work: a portal that only accepts PDF uploads ▸ travel: a ticket or a QR code 🔑 It asks once per site, and only when a site refuses Some sites do not let extensions read their images. Then the extension asks for access to the site the image comes from; Chrome's prompt names it and says the extension could "read and change" data there. It only reads the images you save. Access stays on, so that site does not ask again, and you can remove it in Chrome's extension settings. Say no, and no PDF is made; the next image from that site asks again. 🚫 What it does not do - the right-click works on images, not on backgrounds, videos, canvases or SVG drawn into the page - where a site replaces the context menu, the entry does not appear: save the file and drop it into the panel - no collections in Incognito windows; Download works there once you allow the extension in Incognito 💬 Questions 📌 Does the side panel open by itself? 💡 Now and then, until you open or use it yourself, so you know where it is. After that it no longer opens on its own. 📌 Is the quality the same as the image? 💡 For photos and other pixel images, yes: nothing is compressed lossily or scaled down. 16-bit and wide-gamut images become standard 8-bit color.
