NS Log Viewer

Formats NetSuite script execution logs: JSON trees, SuiteQL, safe HTML and record links. Leaves the rest of NetSuite untouched.

NS Log Viewer makes NetSuite script execution logs readable, right in the Execution Log list and the log popup. SuiteScript developers log JSON payloads, SuiteQL queries, HTML and record IDs, and NetSuite shows them as one long unformatted line. NS Log Viewer formats them in place: • JSON → a collapsible, colour-coded tree with Copy and Expand all / Collapse all • Truncated JSON → shown up to the last complete value, clearly marked as truncated • SuiteQL / SQL → one clause per line with highlighted keywords, strings and numbers • HTML in log details → rendered safely (strict allow-list; scripts, event handlers and javascript: links are removed) • Record references such as invoice:5467, and JSON objects with recordType + id → clickable links, resolved through NetSuite's own URL resolution, so custom records work too • URLs and NetSuite hosts → clickable links • key: value pairs → colour-coded like the JSON view Formatted entries keep a Raw / Pretty toggle, and a page-wide "Raw all" button switches everything back to the compact original text. That choice is remembered. Built to be safe on NetSuite pages: • Runs only on NetSuite scripting pages (script, script deployment, Script Execution Logs and the log popup) • Only touches the Details column of the execution log list and the Details field of a log entry; never other lists, dropdowns or checkboxes • Non-destructive: the original text is kept and is one click away • No data collection, no tracking, no external servers. Everything runs locally in your browser.
