It adds a lightweight consult toolbar on pages you allow — without changing how your clinic system works. Copilot reads the visible chart context from the page when you invoke a tool, sends it securely to NHMCM’s backend, and returns suggestions you review and paste yourself. It does not auto-fill or silently edit EMR fields. What you can do During a consult Record & transcribe — optional live audio capture with streaming transcription; copy transcript lines into your chart manually. Refine section text — focus a history or note field, use the caret chip or shortcut to polish wording using chart context and your TCM knowledge base. Suggest diagnosis (診斷) — structured differential-style suggestions with sources; you choose what to apply. Ask Next — short follow-up questions with quick reply chips to append patient answers to the focused field. From the consult toolbar Suggest Rx — chart-aware generic prescribing guidance (not a final prescription). Herb–drug interaction search — query CMU DHI–based interaction alerts by drug name. Imaging assist — show a QR code to capture on your phone, upload images, and view AI bounding-box overlays plus a copyable reference snippet. How it works Sign in with Google (practitioner account). Add your EMR site URLs in extension settings (default includes common TCM EMR hosts). Open a patient chart on an allowed site — the consult pill appears when you start a consult. Use chips and toolbar tools; copy or explicitly apply results into your EMR. All copilot features call NHMCM Copilot API only. The extension does not contact third-party EMR backends directly. Important disclaimers Clinical decision support only — outputs are suggestions; the practitioner remains responsible for diagnosis, prescribing, and documentation. Not a prescription or radiology report — Rx and imaging outputs are reference material, not licensed medical reports. Interaction data — herb–drug alerts cite published DHI sources; verify against the patient’s full medication list and clinical picture. AI limitations — models may be incomplete or wrong; always review before use. Privacy & permissions Microphone — used only when you start recording for transcription. Storage — saves settings, session state, and EMR allowlist locally. Identity / cookies — secure sign-in to your NHMCM practitioner account.
