Account Memory
Overview
Remember your accounts, sign-in methods, password locations and recovery options without storing password values.
Account Memory helps you remember which account you used for a website, how you signed in, and where the related password is stored — without storing password values. It detects sign-in interfaces on HTTPS websites only after you enable detection. Your account metadata stays in your browser and is protected in an encrypted local vault. With Account Memory, you can: • Find the email or username associated with a service • See whether you used a password, Google sign-in, or a remembered account • Record where a password is stored, such as Google Password Manager • Review Account DNA, observations, evidence, and confirmed sign-ins • Recover access to your Account Memory vault with a Recovery Key • Export and import an encrypted portable backup Privacy and control: • Password values are never read or stored • OTPs, tokens, cookies, and Passkey secrets are never read or stored • Account Memory does not send your account map to an Account Memory server • Detection requires your consent and can be disabled at any time • Incognito mode is not supported Account Memory is designed to answer a simple question: “Which account did I use here?”
