Translate in Place translates web pages right where the text is — like Chrome's built-in translator, but you decide what gets translated and by which engine. WHAT IT DOES • Translate the whole page with one click or Alt+T (⌥T on a Mac) — as you scroll, new posts in feeds and chats too. • Translate only what you pick with Alt+A (⌥A): a paragraph, an area, a whole feed — or any text you select. • Translate text in images and comics: read on your device and written back into the picture. Video frames too. • "Show the original" puts the page back exactly as it was. YOUR RULES FOR EACH SITE • Never translate some parts — code, names, menus. • Translate blocks like the one you picked on every page of the site. • Always translate a site or a language, or never translate a site. WRITE IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE • Type in your language in any text field and insert the translation. YOUR CHOICE OF ENGINE • On your device by default: Chrome's translator, then Mozilla's for what Chrome can't. Your text stays on your computer. • Or add cloud translation services and AI models, online or on your own computer, and set their order. PRIVATE • No account, no analytics, no tracking.
