Harbor
Overview
Pinned tabs for Chrome tab groups: locked to their site, renamable, never really closed, just asleep.
Harbor turns Chrome tab groups into a home for pinned tabs. Pin your everyday apps (mail, calendar, tickets, docs…) inside a tab group and Harbor keeps them there: • Locked to their site — links, redirects and typed URLs to other sites open in a new tab, outside the group. Your pinned tab never wanders off. • Never really closed — closing a pinned tab only puts it to sleep. It stays in its group, frees its memory, and wakes up on click. • Back after a restart — when Chrome starts, every pinned tab returns to its group, in order, asleep. Nothing loads until you click. • Renamable — call it “Mail” instead of “Inbox (12) – …”. The name sticks. • Home base — each pinned tab has a base URL you can change and jump back to (⌥⇧H / Alt+Shift+H). • Smart focus — close a tab and you land on your last tab from the same group, never on a sleeping one. • Sign-in friendly — allow SSO domains per tab or everywhere. • Synced — your pinned tabs and settings follow you to your other computers through your Chrome account (optional). Pin a tab from the toolbar icon, the right-click menu or ⌥⇧P / Alt+Shift+P. Inspired by the pinned tabs of the Arc browser. Harbor is an independent project, not affiliated with The Browser Company. Private by design: no account, no analytics, no server of our own. Data stays in your browser and, if you turn it on, in your own Chrome sync.
