Twitch Account Switcher
Overview
Adds a Twitch account switcher to the Twitch UI.
Twitch Account Switcher adds a lightweight account switching menu directly to Twitch, making it easier to move between multiple Twitch accounts without opening separate browser profiles or manually logging out and back in. The extension saves your active Twitch login session locally in your browser and lets you switch to another saved account from the Twitch user menu. It is designed for people who legitimately use more than one Twitch account, such as streamers, moderators, creators, or viewers who separate accounts for different purposes. Key features: - Switch between saved Twitch accounts from the Twitch interface - Account switcher appears inside the Twitch user menu - Current account avatar is shown in the chat button, so you can quickly see which account you are using before sending a message - Add another account by saving the current session, clearing Twitch cookies, and opening the Twitch login page - Saved accounts display avatars and account names - Reorder saved accounts with drag and drop - Delete saved accounts with an in-menu confirmation step - Reloads open Twitch tabs after switching accounts so all Twitch pages stay in sync - Stores account session data locally using Chrome extension storage Why install it? If you regularly use multiple Twitch accounts, switching accounts through Twitch’s normal logout and login flow can be slow and repetitive. Browser profiles can work, but they often separate windows, extensions, settings, and browsing context. Twitch Account Switcher keeps the switching workflow inside Twitch itself. This can be useful when: - You use separate Twitch accounts for streaming and viewing - You moderate communities with different accounts - You manage creator, personal, or testing accounts - You want to quickly confirm which account is active before chatting - You often keep multiple Twitch tabs open and want them to update together after switching Privacy and storage: Twitch Account Switcher stores saved session data locally in Chrome extension storage. The extension does not provide a remote account service and does not intentionally send saved session data to an external server. Important usage note: This extension is intended for normal account separation and convenience. Do not use alternate accounts for ban evasion, fake engagement, harassment, spam, or any other activity that violates Twitch’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
