TabRise
Overview
New tabs at the top, below pinned tabs. Tabs opened inside groups stay in their groups. Inspired by Arc.
New tabs. Up top. TabRise puts new tabs at the top of Chrome's vertical tab list, immediately below pinned tabs. A small fix for people who switch between projects and keep plenty of tabs open. If you liked having new tabs at the top in Arc, TabRise brings that habit to Chrome. WHAT IT DOES • Moves newly created, ungrouped tabs to the first position below pinned tabs. • Keeps tabs opened inside groups in their groups. • Leaves background tabs in the background. • Handles each Chrome window separately. • Leaves existing tabs alone when installed or reloaded. SIMPLE AND PRIVATE Free and open source. No analytics, advertising, tracking, accounts, or website access. TabRise requests no browser permissions and makes no background network requests. GETTING STARTED Install TabRise, enable Chrome's vertical tabs if available in your version, and open a new tab. It will appear above your other unpinned tabs. TabRise also works with horizontal tabs: new tabs appear on the left, after pinned tabs. GOOD TO KNOW Reopening closed tabs or restoring a session may change tab order because Chrome can report restored tabs as newly created. You may see a brief movement after a tab opens. Other extensions that rearrange tabs may conflict with TabRise. Built by Dennis Petri. Source and support: https://github.com/dnnsptri/tabrise
