Convert the current page to Markdown and view, copy, or download it.

Copy as Markdown converts the page you are reading into clean Markdown with one click. Click the toolbar icon and the extension extracts the main content of the page — stripping navigation, sidebars, ads, and other clutter — converts it to Markdown, and opens it in a viewer tab. From there you can: • Read a rendered preview of the result • Switch to the Markdown source and edit it in place • Copy the Markdown to your clipboard • Save it as a .md file • Optionally prepend YAML frontmatter (title, source URL, capture date) — handy for Obsidian and other note-taking apps Content extraction and conversion are powered by Defuddle, the same open source engine u with solid handlingof code blocks, tables, footnotes, and math. PRIVACY Everything runs locally in your browser. The page content is never sent anywhere. The extension requests only minimal permissions: it can access a page only when you click the icon (activeTab), and it uses no persistent contensions.
