Don't add it, once you added you can't remove it! It should be removed completely from chrome webstore long long ago! And the last update was on July 11, 2013. The solution is: How to change Google background https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JwtNzpDSTk just follow the instructions and reset the background to "default" and you are back to original background.
