NEXTSTEP: Knowledge In Action

Create and share process guides directly inside web-based applications.

NEXTSTEP allows you to build interactive, sharable process guides on the web. Share a guide as a link; the process travels in the link itself. Anyone with Chrome or Edge on a desktop can open it, install NEXTSTEP if they do not have it, and follow the steps. There is no account, password, or fee. Your guides stay in this browser. NEXTSTEP does not host them and does not back them up. Anyone you give a link to can read the process in that link, including the step text, the page addresses, and short snippets of the elements you selected. How to use it: - Install NEXTSTEP and open the side panel. - Start a process and right-click the element for the first step. - Add the instruction, then repeat for each step. - Play the process to confirm the highlights. - Copy the share link and send it to anyone who should follow the process. Note: do not put passwords, payment card numbers, or health information into a process. A step can include text from the element you select, and a share link or an element-matching request can carry that text.
