NewTabPad replaces Chrome's new tab page with a minimal plain-text notepad — always one keystroke away. FEATURES • Multiple independent notes • Auto-saves as you type (500 ms debounce) — no Save button needed • Line numbers, with an overflow indicator (›) for lines wider than the editor • Real-time sync across all open tabs • Safe for Japanese (and other CJK) IME input — composition is never interrupted • No account, no sign-in, no network requests — all data stays in your browser KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS • New note Ctrl+Shift+Enter (Cmd+Shift+Enter on Mac) • Note list Ctrl+Shift+K (Cmd+Shift+K on Mac) • Back to editor Esc PRIVACY NewTabPad stores your notes locally using chrome.storage. Nothing is sent to any server. The extension requires no host permissions and makes no network requests.
