Overview

Replaces the "New tab" browser page with a bookmarked page called "New tab".

This extension replaces the "New Tab" browser page with a bookmarked page called "New tab". Install this extension, bookmark any page (it may be a local file), call it "New tab" - and that page will be opened in new tabs instead of the standard browser "New tab" page. That bookmarked page can be in any bookmark folder or subfolder. If there is no the required page in Bookmarks, the new tab page displays the short usage manual. Also, you can let this extension to manage "Start page" & "Home page" too (in browser Settings). For using local file as a "New tab"/"Start page"/"Home page" you have to enable permission "Allow access to file URLs" for this extension in the extension settings in the Google Chrome Extensions Settings.
