New Tab Bookmark Manager
Overview
Replace the new tab page with a bookmark manager backed directly by Chrome bookmarks.
Bookmarks replaces the new tab page with a focused view of your real Chrome bookmarks. It does not create a separate bookmark system. The page reads and manages the same bookmark tree you already use in Chrome, so folders and bookmarks stay in one place. What you can do: - Browse bookmarks by folder - Search bookmarks from the new tab page - Open bookmarks quickly - Create bookmarks in existing folders - Create bookmark folders - Delete bookmarks and removable folders - Use keyboard shortcuts for faster navigation - Show a daily background image or use your own image URL Why it is useful: - Your bookmarks are easier to see and organise - Folder tabs make large bookmark collections easier to browse - The new tab page becomes useful instead of empty - Changes happen directly in Chrome bookmarks, so there is nothing extra to maintain Permissions: - Bookmarks: needed to read, create, edit, and organise your Chrome bookmarks - Storage: needed to save interface preferences such as background settings and view state Bookmarks is designed to stay concise, visual, and practical: one new tab page, one bookmark source of truth.
