Chrome's new tab page shows you links you never asked for. New Tab + Quick Jump replaces it with the one site you actually open all day — and adds nine keyboard shortcuts for the rest. WHAT IT DOES • Your new tab, your site. Set any URL and every new tab lands there instantly. No flash of a page you didn't want. • Nine quick jumps. Assign up to 9 URLs to Ctrl+Shift+1 through Ctrl+Shift+9 and reach your mail, calendar, ticket tracker or dashboard from anywhere, without touching the mouse. • It reuses the tab you already have. If that site is already open somewhere, Quick Jump focuses that tab and window instead of piling up duplicates. • Backup and restore. Export your setup to a JSON file and import it on another computer in two clicks. • Speaks your language. English, Catalan and Spanish, picked automatically from your browser. Any other language falls back to English. HOW TO SET IT UP 1. Click the extension icon in the toolbar. 2. Type the URL you want your new tab to open. 3. Fill in as many of the nine shortcut slots as you like. 4. Press Save. That's it. One thing worth knowing: Chrome only lets an extension claim four keyboard shortcuts automatically, so 1 to 4 work straight away. To turn on 5 to 9, open chrome://extensions/shortcuts once and assign them there.
