NeutralAI: PII Masking for ChatGPT & AI
Overview
Masks personal data (PII) in prompts and uploads before they leave your browser - on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot and more.
NeutralAI Interceptor helps users neutralize sensitive information before it leaves the browser on supported AI web apps. It works in two ways: (1) it detects sensitive values in your prompt text and masks them before submission, and (2) when you attach a document, it redacts personal data — names, emails, phone numbers and more — from the file before the AI host ever receives it, so the model sees a sanitized copy. The popup lets you manage protection state, stealth mode, and zero-retention preferences. Document handling is fail-closed by default: if a file cannot be redacted, the upload is blocked rather than leaked. Self-serve users sign in through the NeutralAI app, while managed enterprise deployments can provide centrally controlled policy. The extension uses NeutralAI-owned app and API domains for session detection, masking/redaction, remote configuration, and telemetry.
