Organize Chrome tab groups, save and restore tabs as sessions, snooze distractions, and recover recently closed tabs. Core features work locally without an account. Keep research, projects, and everyday browsing organized without turning every open tab into something you need to remember. A SIDE PANEL THAT STAYS OPEN Keep your workspace beside the page you are reading. Nest stays open while you switch tabs, so you can find and organize your work without repeatedly opening a popup. Prefer a vertical tabs workflow? Nest gives you a persistent side-panel view of your tab workspace without replacing Chrome’s tab strip. You can also use the on-page overlay or full-page view. Nest remembers your choice between the overlay and side panel, and existing users keep their current setting. The side panel works alongside Chrome’s own pages, where an injected overlay cannot appear. ORGANIZE TABS AND WORK WITH CHROME TAB GROUPS Nest automatically sorts open tabs into categories. Drag a tab into another category whenever you want, or create domain rules to send tabs from a particular website to your chosen category. Already using Chrome tab groups? Nest can join tabs to groups you have created when group syncing is enabled. It does not automatically create or rename your groups. Want to turn a Nest category into a Chrome tab group? Use “Group in browser” yourself. You can also switch off automatic group syncing. CLOSE DUPLICATE TABS AND FREE MEMORY Open Organize → Tidy to close duplicate tabs or suspend inactive tabs. Duplicate cleanup removes extra tabs with the same URL while preserving pinned tabs. Tab suspension unloads eligible background pages to free memory without removing them from your tab strip. This manual tab suspender skips active, pinned, and audio-playing tabs. Suspended pages reload when you return to them. SESSION MANAGER: SAVE AND RESTORE TABS Save a set of open tabs under a name and return to it later. Keep separate sessions for a research topic, client project, or anything you want to pick up again. Save all open tabs or just one Chrome tab group. Updating a group-based session re-captures that group—not every other tab you happen to have open. The free plan lets you save up to 3 sessions without an account. When upgrading, existing users keep larger collections they already saved; the new limit does not delete or hide them. Pro removes the saved-session limit. SEARCH TABS AND RECOVER CLOSED PAGES Find the page you remember opening without hunting through every browser window. Search open and recently closed tabs, then jump to the result you need. Nest keeps local tab backup data and a rolling closed-tab history with page titles and favicons. Restore closed tabs with a click and choose how long that history is retained. SNOOZE TABS UNTIL YOU NEED THEM Put distractions aside without forgetting them. Choose a snooze preset or a specific time: Nest closes the tab and schedules it to reopen. You can also snooze an entire category. Nest tries to reopen scheduled tabs in their original window and uses an available window if the original has closed. THE VAULT: LOCAL SNAPSHOTS FOR RECOVERY Nest takes local snapshots of your tab data, categories, sessions, and notes before major changes, including data migrations, sync merges, and duplicate cleanup. It also takes periodic checkpoints. Restore a snapshot when you need an earlier copy of your data. Every restore creates a safety snapshot first, so the restoration can be undone. Damaged snapshots are rejected instead of overwriting your current data. Vault snapshots stay on your device and are not uploaded through cloud sync. PAGE NOTES THAT STAY WITH YOUR WORK Attach rich-text notes to pages and search them later. Keep research, reminders, and useful context alongside the tabs they belong to. OPTIONAL PRO: EXPORT, CLOUD SYNC, AND AI Pro adds unlimited saved sessions, tab export, cross-device cloud sync, and the NEST Chat AI assistant. Export tabs from your backup as an HTML file with clickable links or as JSON for archiving and further use. Cloud sync lets you access synced tab data, categories, sessions, and notes on other devices. Use the optional AI assistant to manage tabs with plain-language requests. Page-content actions, such as summarizing or translating a page, also require you to enable “Allow content reading.” LOCAL CORE FEATURES. CLEAR PRIVACY CHOICES. Core tab-management data is stored locally. You do not need an account to use the free features. Using Pro cloud sync sends synced data to your account. Using AI sends your messages and relevant workspace context for processing. Reading page content additionally requires enabling content reading and requesting a content-reading action. Anonymous feature-usage analytics do not include URLs, page titles, or page content. You can switch off usage sharing in Account settings.
