Neon Reading Time is a lightweight Chrome extension that helps users estimate how long it will take to read text on a webpage. Users can choose to calculate reading time based on either selected text or the entire visible content of the current page. The extension uses a configurable reading speed to provide an approximate time estimate along with the total word count. The extension runs only after a user action, works on the active tab only, and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. It requests only the minimum permissions required to read visible text for calculation purposes. Neon Reading Time is designed for users who want a fast, simple, and privacy-friendly way to understand reading length without leaving the webpage.
