Toldya

Your important messages, out loud.

TOLDYA — DISCORD TEXT TO SPEECH & SPOKEN ALERTS Stop constantly checking Discord. Hear the messages that matter. Toldya is a Discord text-to-speech Chrome extension that reads selected new messages and important channel alerts aloud. Whether you're watching trading charts, gaming, working, or multitasking, Toldya helps you stay informed without keeping your eyes on Discord. Instead of watching a busy channel for the next important message, let Toldya speak it. HOW TOLDYA WORKS Toldya supports two ways to hear Discord messages: 1. Personal Discord Web listening Open Discord in Chrome, choose a channel, and turn on listening. Toldya reads supported new messages aloud as they appear. Customize what gets spoken by selecting an author, excluding phrases, and adjusting the voice settings. 2. Server alerts through the Toldya bot Discord server administrators can install the Toldya bot and select the channels authorized to send spoken alerts. Members with a licensed Toldya Chrome extension can receive and hear supported new alerts through their browser. Audio plays privately through Chrome—not in a Discord voice channel. KEY FEATURES • Discord text to speech — Hear selected new Discord messages aloud. • Spoken channel alerts — Listen to important messages instead of constantly checking chat. • Author filtering — Listen to everyone or one selected author in personal channel monitoring. • Ignore phrases — Exclude messages containing phrases you don't want spoken. • Custom voices — Choose your language, installed voice, speech rate, and pitch. • Server integration — Administrators can configure approved alert channels using the Toldya Discord bot. • Listening controls — Turn text-to-speech playback on or off. WHO IS TOLDYA FOR? Trading communities Hear selected trading signals, market commentary, and time-sensitive channel messages while watching your charts. Gamers Keep up with supported Discord messages while focusing on your game. Busy professionals Listen for important channel updates while working on other tasks. Discord server administrators Give members another way to notice important announcements and alerts through an administrator-controlled bot integration. ACCESSIBILITY AND CONVENIENCE Toldya can help reduce the need to visually monitor Discord continuously. Spoken notifications offer another way to consume text messages while multitasking or when reading the screen is inconvenient. COMPATIBILITY AND LIMITATIONS • Personal channel monitoring supports Discord Web in Google Chrome at discord.com. • Personal monitoring is limited to one selected channel at a time. • Author filtering supports everyone or one selected author. • Server alerts require the Toldya Discord bot and administrator-configured channels. • Server members need the Toldya Chrome extension and a valid license. • Toldya reads supported new messages only. Existing visible message history is not replayed when listening is enabled. • Spoken audio uses Chrome/operating-system text-to-speech. • The Discord desktop app and mobile app are not supported for personal channel monitoring. • Slack, Microsoft Teams, Gmail, and WhatsApp are not supported. LICENSE AND PAYMENT Toldya requires a separate paid license after installation. Licenses are sold by Friendly Alien Studio, not Google. PRIVACY For personal Discord Web monitoring, selected Discord message text, channel ID, and configured ignore phrases are sent to the Toldya backend for message preparation. For server alerts, the Toldya bot processes messages from administrator-authorized channels to deliver supported alerts to licensed listeners. Speech playback is generated locally using Chrome/OS text-to-speech. Please review the Toldya privacy policy for additional details.
