TrustDate is a calm browser companion that runs alongside your dating-app browsing on a supported desktop site, and quietly tells you what was worth a closer look on a profile — before you invest time, money, or trust. When you open a profile, TrustDate's side panel summarizes what it noticed in plain English: photos that appear elsewhere online, bios with AI-like phrasing, high-pressure or off-platform language, sparse profile detail, missing platform verification, and more. Then it gets out of your way. TrustDate does not declare anyone a scammer or fake. It surfaces what it noticed and lets you decide. WHAT YOU GET - A calm summary at the top of every profile. One short paragraph in plain English describing what was noticed. Example: "Worth a closer look — 3 things to review. Bio has AI-like patterns. Photo set looks unusually uniform." - A dashboard of small sub-gauges that feed the headline summary. You can see exactly which checks contributed and why — no black-box score. - Cross-profile photo memory. When TrustDate sees the same photo on two different profiles in your own local watchlist, it tells you — catches the "same face, different name" pattern even when reverse-image search returns nothing. - Photo Review workspace. Two side-by-side compare slots. Drop any profile photo into one slot, drop a reverse-image-search result into the other slot, and get an immediate on-device face-similarity comparison. Built-in buttons for Yandex, Google Lens, and Bing Visual Search. - Honest framing throughout. When reverse-image search finds nothing, TrustDate explicitly says "this is NOT proof the photos are real — AI-generated images won't show up in reverse-image databases either." SUPPORTED SITES - Match.com - OurTime.com - eHarmony.com - OkCupid.com - SilverSingles.com App-only platforms (Hinge, Bumble, Tinder, and others) are intentionally not supported by the browser extension. Users on those platforms are served by a separate companion TrustDate App. LOCAL-ONLY ARCHITECTURE Your data stays on your device. Always. - Photo bytes never leave your computer. All face-similarity work runs in a sandboxed offscreen document using on-device WebAssembly models. - The cross-profile photo memory is stored locally in your browser's extension storage. Only perceptual hashes are stored — not the photos themselves. - Reverse-image search uses Yandex, Google Lens, and Bing Visual Search. When you click any of the engine buttons in the Photo Review workspace, TrustDate opens a browser window pointed at that engine's search-by-URL endpoint. The URL of the photo is sent to the chosen engine by the browser as part of that request — that is how reverse-image search works for any user. TrustDate sends the engine nothing else (no profile data, no other photos, no activity history). All three engines are user-initiated; nothing fires automatically. - No accounts. No sign-up. No cloud sync. No analytics. No telemetry. If you uninstall the extension, all local data is removed automatically. WHAT TRUSTDATE DOES NOT DO - Does not declare anyone a scammer or fake. The summary reflects what was noticed, not a verdict about the person. - Does not perform identity-matching against any database of known faces. The face-similarity tool compares photos you choose against each other — it does not match against any registry. - Does not detect AI-generated photos reliably. Reverse-image search cannot find AI faces because they do not exist anywhere else online. We surface a small set of weak signals, but a clean reverse-image-search result is NOT proof a profile's photos are real. - Does not monitor your conversations or track you. TrustDate runs only when you are on a supported dating site, reads only profile data visible on the page, and stores everything locally. - Does not work on dating apps' mobile apps.
