Overview

Audit any webpage for AI Search visibility — see whether AI Overviews, Perplexity, ChatGPT & Gemini will cite it.

Citely audits any webpage in seconds and tells you whether AI search engines — Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, ChatGPT Search, and Gemini — are likely to cite it. The whole audit runs on your device using Chrome's built-in Gemini Nano. No URLs leave your browser. WHAT YOU GET • AI-Ready Score (0–100) — a single number summarising how citable the page is, computed from five weighted sub-scores. • Server-side visibility — measures how much of the page's content is in the raw HTML versus only after JavaScript runs. AI crawlers see the raw HTML; if your hero section lives in a client-rendered div, they miss it. • Structured data quality — detects Article, FAQPage, HowTo, BreadcrumbList, and Organization JSON-LD schemas and flags missing high-impact ones. • Answer-first structure — analyses every H1/H2/H3 and verdicts whether the first 30 words deliver a tight declarative answer, an answer buried behind filler, or no answer at all. • Information density — flags marketing fluff ("industry-leading", "best-in-class") and rewards sentences with numbers, definitions, and specifics. • Top fixes — the highest-impact actions for this page, each with an estimated point gain. • Side-by-side comparison — audit a competitor's page and see exactly what they're doing differently. • Markdown export — download the audit as a .md file, or open the printable full report and Save as PDF. PRIVACY BY DEFAULT • Audits run on-device via Chrome's built-in Gemini Nano (Prompt API). No analytics, no telemetry, no server-side logging. • Your settings and the last 50 audits are stored locally in chrome.storage.local. • If on-device AI isn't available, Citely can use your own API key (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google). The key is stored locally — only you ever see it. WHO IT'S FOR In-house SEO leads, content strategists, technical writers, indie publishers, and any builder who wants AI search engines to cite their work instead of a competitor's. REQUIRES Chrome 114 or newer (for the side panel API). On-device audits use Chrome's built-in Gemini Nano — for the best experience, enable it in chrome://flags or stay on a recent Chrome release.
