Overview
Schedule Substack Notes and posts from TrackMedia. Hands each one to Substack's own scheduler from your signed-in browser.
TrackMedia for Chrome connects your TrackMedia account to Substack, so the Substack Notes and newsletter posts you schedule in TrackMedia go out on time. This extension works only with TrackMedia (https://www.trackmedia.app). You need a TrackMedia account and a Substack account. It does nothing on its own. HOW IT WORKS Substack has no public posting API. So instead of storing your Substack login on a server, TrackMedia hands each scheduled item to Substack's own scheduler, from your browser, ahead of time: 1. You schedule a Substack Note or a newsletter post in TrackMedia, next to your other networks. 2. Within about a minute, the extension picks it up and places it on Substack's built-in scheduler, signed in as you. 3. At the scheduled time, Substack publishes it itself. Your computer can be asleep or off by then. WHAT IT DOES - Schedules Substack Notes, with images, on Substack's native Notes scheduler. - Schedules newsletter posts (title, subtitle, body, audience) on your publication's own scheduler. - Keeps Substack in step when you edit, reschedule or delete the item in TrackMedia. - Reports each result back to TrackMedia, so you see "scheduled on Substack" or a clear error. - Shows the link status, the Substack account it sees, and the last sync in its toolbar popup, with a "Sync now" button. YOUR SUBSTACK SESSION STAYS IN YOUR BROWSER The extension talks to Substack with your browser's existing sign-in. It never reads, copies or sends your Substack cookies or password to TrackMedia or anyone else. TrackMedia only receives your Substack user ID, handle, display name, profile photo link and publication names, so it can show which account is connected, plus the ID Substack gives each scheduled item. SAFEGUARDS - It only accepts a link from TrackMedia's own dashboard (go.trackmedia.app). Its TrackMedia key can connect accounts and sync scheduled items, and cannot create or publish posts. - It refuses an item meant for a different Substack account than the one signed in, and only posts to publications that account belongs to. - It confirms with Substack that each item is really scheduled before reporting success. - You can unlink the browser from the popup, or revoke its key in TrackMedia under Settings, API keys. GETTING STARTED 1. Install the extension and sign in to Substack in this Chrome profile. 2. In TrackMedia, open Accounts, Connect, then Substack Notes or Substack Posts. 3. Click "Link extension and connect". That's it. Substack is a trademark of Substack Inc. TrackMedia is not affiliated with or endorsed by Substack.
