Overview

Take time-stamped YouTube notes.

With this extension you can take time-stamped notes while watching YouTube videos. Press Alt+P, the video will stop playing, a prompt will show up, write your note and press Alt+Enter. Your timestamped notes will appear at the bottom of the video. Hit the Shift key with the previous commands to take a snapshot! You can find more shortcuts and customize them.

I've tried 8 other youtube note-taking plugins, from the most simple to the most complex, and this is the one I settled on. Even the paid plugins lacked what I wanted. Customizable hotkeys, is for me, a must. Being able to view all of the videos I have created notes for is also a must. An quick and easy way to export to markdown (for Obsidian integration) was a must. This checks all the boxes for basic functionality. No, it doesn't do everything I want.
