Overview

Learn languages while you browse: tap any word to translate, dual subtitles on video sites, and synced dual lyrics.

Learn languages while you use Chrome — not as a separate homework app. !Native is a language-learning extension with one purpose: help you understand words, videos, and songs in the language you are learning, then remember them with spaced repetition. It works on the pages you already visit. An account is required (Google or email). After you sign in, pick the language you want translations in. You can change it later in Profile. WHAT YOU GET 1) TAP-TO-TRANSLATE (any website) Select a word on any page. A small button appears. Open it for meaning, a real example, synonyms, and optional GIFs. Save the word to your Leitner deck with one tap. Select a sentence or a short passage for a line-by-line translation. Ask the built-in language assistant about grammar or anything you did not understand. 2) DUAL SUBTITLES (video & courses) On YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, Coursera, and LinkedIn Learning, see the original caption and your language together. Tap a word in the subtitle to look it up without leaving the video. 3) DUAL LYRICS (music in the browser) When a song is playing, open a small overlay with the original lyric line and its translation, synced to playback. The overlay can follow you across tabs so you keep reading while you browse. 4) HOME ON NEW TAB !Native replaces Chrome’s New Tab page with your learning home: words waiting for review, vocabulary, settings, and your account. Spaced repetition only works if you see the words often. A new tab is a natural moment to practice. There are no ads and no search hijacking. A short onboarding explains this the first time you install. 5) LEITNER FLASHCARDS Words you save are organized in boxes. Review them on the New Tab home. The more you remember a word, the less often it comes back. Stats on Profile show streak, study time, and vocabulary size. HOW TO START • Install the extension • Complete the short welcome screens and choose your language • Sign in with Google or email (required) • Browse as usual: select a word, watch a video, or play a song • Open a new tab when you want to review You can turn each tool on or off in Profile (word lookup, dual subtitles, dual lyrics). WHO IT IS FOR Learners who already watch YouTube, Netflix, or Prime Video, take Coursera or LinkedIn Learning courses, listen to music in the browser, or read articles in another language — and want translation and review in the same place, not in a separate app. LANGUAGES Translations can be shown in many languages, including Persian (Farsi), Arabic, English, French, German, Spanish, Turkish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Hindi, and dozens more. Set your language during onboarding or later in Profile. The interface supports English and Persian. WHAT !NATIVE DOES NOT DO • It does not show ads • It does not sell your data • It does not collect your browsing history • It does not run remote code — the extension only talks to our API to translate text, sync your words, and manage your account • It does not replace your search engine with ads or unrelated pages Page text is read only to translate what you selected, the current subtitle, or the current lyric line. PERMISSIONS (PLAIN LANGUAGE) Storage — keeps you signed in, saves settings, and stores your word list on this device. Identity — Google sign-in through Chrome’s secure flow. Tabs — opens your !Native home without duplicate tabs, and keeps lyrics in sync across tabs. Access to pages — tap-to-translate must work on whatever site you are reading; dual subtitles and lyrics need to draw overlays on video and music pages. ACCOUNT, SYNC & PRIVACY Sign in so your words and progress stay with your account. You can review active sessions and sign out other devices from Profile. Privacy policy: https://nativeplugin.com/privacy Website: https://nativeplugin.com Support: nativebudies@gmail.com FAQ Does it work offline? Lookups and translations need a connection. Saved words stay on the device for review if you already synced them. Do I have to use New Tab? Yes for the home and review surface. That is how Leitner review stays in your daily browsing. Tools on websites still work while you are on YouTube, articles, and other pages. Is it free? You can use the product with an account. Some tools have usage limits; you can subscribe from Profile if you need more. Which video sites are supported for dual subtitles? YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video (Amazon), Coursera, and LinkedIn Learning. Can I turn a tool off? Yes. Profile → tools. SUMMARY !Native is language learning inside Chrome: look up words on any page, watch with dual subtitles, read synced dual lyrics, and review with Leitner flashcards on New Tab — one purpose, no ads.
