Overview
Hides Reels, Shorts and endless short-video feeds on social sites. One switch per site, a 5-minute pause, nothing collected.
Short-video feeds are built to keep you scrolling. Unreel switches them off on the social sites you use, so you can open them for what you came for and leave. WHAT IT HIDES • On YouTube: Shorts shelves, the Shorts tab and Shorts pages, while normal videos stay. Recommended videos in the sidebar and at the end of a video can go too, if you want. • On Instagram and Facebook: Reels, and the video posts in your feed. • TikTok can be switched off entirely. • On other social feeds Unreel covers: video posts. The popup lists every supported site, each with its own switch. Everything else on each site works as usual: photos, text posts, messages, search, your profile. PICK WHAT GOES, SITE BY SITE Tap a site in the toolbar popup and choose: just the Reels or Shorts, every video post, ads too, or the whole site. Ads and "whole site" start off; switch them on where you want them. Ads means sponsored posts and ad slots in feeds and sidebars. MADE FOR REAL LIFE • One switch per site, and one for everything, with each site's logo so you find it at a glance. • Pause a site for 5 minutes when you really need it. It switches itself back on. • Strict mode: turning anything off makes you wait a few seconds first. Long enough to change your mind at 1 a.m. • Let shared links play (optional): when a friend sends you one YouTube Short, it opens as a normal video. The Shorts feed stays blocked. • My rules: something slipping through? Hide it yourself with a CSS selector, or block any page. • A weekly card shows what you skipped and roughly how much time that saved, plus a calm streak of days without opening a short-video feed. • Something got through? Point at it and Unreel prepares a report with a screenshot of just that post. You check it before anything is sent. • Works the moment you install, even in tabs that are already open. • Available in five languages. KEEPS WORKING WHEN SITES CHANGE Social sites rewrite their pages every few weeks. Unreel recognizes video by more than one signal, and when a site's layout is new it still hides the post around the video and tells you, so you can report it with one click. Fixes ship fast. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Unreel collects nothing. No analytics, no accounts, no servers. It runs only on the sites it covers and never sends what you browse anywhere. FREE Unreel is free, made by one person at XT3. If it gives you your evenings back, you can leave a tip from the popup. Questions or something slipping through: ian@xt3.us. A real person answers.
