Overview

Opens JSON API responses as a fast, searchable tree, shows Problem Details errors as a card, and keeps Raw and Headers a tab away.

JSON Response Viewer replaces the plain text Chrome shows for JSON responses with a viewer built for working with APIs. - Tree: the response opens as a fully expanded tree that stays responsive on 10 MB bodies. Fold what you don't need, move with the keyboard, copy a value (c) or its JSONPath (p), and follow the breadcrumb for the selected node. - Search: plain text, exact values, wildcards (ada*, *son) and regex, plus field queries like status=failed, price>100, tags=[], ctaUrl!=null and paths like $..id. The first match is selected as you type, collapsed rows are searched too, and "Show only matches" hides everything else. Hover a row and click the magnifier to search for that field and value. - Problem Details: application/problem+json (RFC 9457) errors open as a card with status, title, detail, type and instance, plus a tree for any extra members. - Raw: the body exactly as received, optionally pretty-printed. Invalid JSON is marked at the exact line and column. - Headers: the status line and response headers, with Set-Cookie values hidden. - Load time: how long the response took, split into DNS, connect, TLS, waiting and download. - Exact numbers: its own parser keeps big integers, key order and duplicate keys exactly as sent. The viewer only takes over JSON responses (and text or JavaScript bodies that are valid JSON). HTML pages are never touched. "View original" shows Chrome's own rendering at any time, and the toolbar button turns the viewer off for a site, switches back from the original view, and sets the theme. Privacy: everything runs on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere, and there are no analytics.
