Overview
Turns raw documents into readable, interactive pages. Theme, site controls, and privacy-limited product analytics.
An API response, a config file, a README served as plain text: the browser shows you an unreadable wall of characters. Nandemo Formatter replaces that page with a formatted, interactive view — automatically, with zero configuration. "Nandemo" means "anything" in Japanese, and that is the whole idea: you should not have to know what a page is before you open it. Whatever it turns out to be, from a JSON payload to a plain Markdown file, it arrives readable. FEATURES ▸ Tree view for structured data JSON and the other data formats it recognises arrive as a syntax-highlighted tree instead of a wall of text. Collapse any key or array, or expand and collapse the whole document at once. ▸ Search keys and values Filter a large document down to just the entries you are looking for. ▸ Format conversion Rewrite the document you are viewing into one of the other structured formats, in place. ▸ Markdown rendering Raw Markdown becomes a readable page instantly. ▸ Image viewer See an image's dimensions, file size and MIME type at a glance, and download it in one click. ▸ Toolbar Raw source inside the Formatter, Minify, Copy, and a toggle for clickable links — one click each. ▸ Match your workspace Follow your system color scheme by default, or keep the Formatter in light or dark mode across document, image, popup and settings views. ▸ Control automatic formatting Reload the current tab once in Chrome's original view without storing its URL, or disable automatic formatting for an exact HTTP(S) origin and re-enable it later. ▸ Fast on ordinary pages A small format probe exits early on normal HTML. Parsers and the interface load only for supported candidates. ▸ English and Japanese The interface follows your browser's language automatically. PRIVACY ▸ Documents, URLs, search text, JSON paths, conversion output, file sizes and error details stay out of analytics and are not uploaded. ▸ Only while consent is active, eligible install, update and feature-use events may be sent with a persistent pseudonymous Client ID and extension version. Feature-use events also include a fixed feature category, interface language, result and a duration range. No usage events are sent before consent or after decline or revocation. ▸ In every consent state, operations taking at least 500 ms send only the extension version, fixed feature and file-type categories, and a duration rounded to 50 ms. Each performance event uses a new identifier that is not stored or linked to other events. ▸ Google processes connection data such as the source IP address and browser-provided request headers, and may derive approximate location or device information. The extension does not set coordinates, user_location or device fields in the request body. ▸ Theme, link preference, disabled HTTP(S) origins, analytics choice and a UUIDv7 Client ID are stored locally. The persistent ID is created on install or update regardless of consent. ▸ The content script matches all URLs because supported documents can be served from any origin, but unsupported pages are left unchanged.
